Mr. Rod Harmon took on the roll of Executive director of the Lincoln Trail College Foundation in 2004. Prior to that he taught a variety of classes at Lincoln Trail College over the course of 26 years. He has a passion for teaching and says his favorite thing about working at LTC was the students. In his time as director of the Foundation he has worked tirelessly to connect with the community, create new fundraising endeavors and work with the college leadership to aid them in any of the needs that students may need, the faculty and departments may need and has taken on and completed many projects on the campus in his 16 years as Foundation director. One of his favorite projects is Miller lake. The project began as he was a relatively new leader with the Foundation and was a huge undertaking. Miller lake changed feel of the campus and adds a lovely welcome to the students, faculty and visitors. Mr. Harmon has also worked with the LTC Foundation board and the college to complete projects such as the bus barn, athletic storage building at Parker field, Storybrooke Pre-K and most recently the addition of Statesman park. In the middle of many projects at the college campus, as well as, an increase in scholarships being awarded, Rod saw a need for a new fundraiser - something that was not being done by other organizations in the community. In 2010 he, along with the foundation board, started the LTC Foundation concert series. In the last 10 years the Foundation has had almost 40 concerts and raised over $200,000 for scholarship funding. This series was made possible by generous corporate donors and the shows are a great time of fellowship with some amazingly talented acts. Mr. Harmon looks forward to many concerts in his future and is always thinking forward to what the Foundation will be doing next to assist the college in success. #FORWARDTOGETHER
